A bundle of fantasy books has been given to pupils at Penygarn Primary School by their local Member of the Welsh Parliament.
Natasha Asghar MS visited the school to meet students face-to-face having met with them virtually as part of a Digital Dialogue event a few months prior.
During their online call, the youngsters quizzed Natasha on a range of topics before telling the South Wales East politician how much they enjoyed reading fantasy books.
Armed with that information, Natasha went away and purchased a bundle of books and arranged to visit the school to deliver them in-person.
Natasha, who is also Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Education, this week met with the pupils in the school’s library before being taken on a tour of the school by three Year 6 students.
Natasha Asghar MS said:
“It was an absolute pleasure to visit Penygarn Primary to meet with some of the fantastic pupils and receive a special tour.
“Penygarn is a wonderful primary school, and it was great to find out more about the work they do and how they support their pupils.
“I hope the youngsters enjoy the fantasy books and I can’t wait to return to the school again soon.”
