Expanding the Welsh Parliament, elections, strikes, and boundary changes were just a few of the topics Natasha Asghar was quizzed over during a recent college visit.
Students at Coleg Gwent’s Crosskeys Campus grilled the South East Wales politician during a face-to-face Q&A session.
They asked about Labour and Plaid’s coalition in the Welsh Parliament, devolution, the judiciary system, workers going on strike and some school pupils being offered insects to eat.
And Natasha ruled out an appearance on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here after being asked about former health secretary Matt Hancock’s recent stint on the show.
Natasha Asghar MS said:
“It was great to visit Coleg Gwent and talk with students from the politics society about what it is like being a Member of the Welsh Parliament and how I got here.
“They asked some very good – and sometimes challenging – questions on a vast array of topics from devolution and creating more politicians in Cardiff Bay to the tragic murder of Logan Mwangi and the upcoming boundary changes.
“Having spoken with the students on Zoom shortly after my election, it was fantastic to finally meet with them face-to-face. Without a doubt, I was in the midst of some future journalists and politicians based on their great questions and genuine passion for politics.”

AS yn cael ei holi’n dwll mewn sesiwn Holi ac Ateb gyda myfyrwyr gwleidyddol
Roedd ehangu’r Senedd, etholiadau, streiciau a newidiadau ffiniau yn rhai o'r pynciau a godwyd gyda Natasha Asghar yn ystod ymweliad diweddar â choleg.
Bu myfyrwyr ar Gampws Crosskeys Coleg Gwent yn holi’r gwleidydd ar gyfer De-ddwyrain Cymru yn ystod sesiwn holi ac ateb wyneb yn wyneb.
Fe ofynnon nhw am glymblaid Llafur a Phlaid yn y Senedd, datganoli, y system farnwriaeth, gweithwyr yn mynd ar streic a rhai disgyblion ysgol yn cael cynnig pryfed i’w bwyta.
Diystyrodd Natasha ymddangosiad ar I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here ar ôl cael ei holi am gyfnod diweddar y cyn-ysgrifennydd iechyd Matt Hancock ar y sioe.
Meddai Natasha Asghar AS:
“Roedd hi'n wych ymweld â Choleg Gwent a siarad â myfyrwyr o'r gymdeithas wleidyddiaeth am sut brofiad yw bod yn Aelod o’r Senedd a sut gyrhaeddais i yma.
"Fe wnaethon nhw ofyn cwestiynau da iawn - ac weithiau heriol - ar amrywiaeth eang o bynciau o ddatganoli a chreu mwy o wleidyddion ym Mae Caerdydd i lofruddiaeth drasig Logan Mwangi a'r newidiadau i'r ffiniau sydd i ddod.
"Ar ôl siarad â’r myfyrwyr ar Zoom yn fuan ar ôl fy ethol, roedd yn wych cwrdd â nhw wyneb yn wyneb o'r diwedd. Heb os, o ystyried eu cwestiynau gwych a’u hangerdd amlwg dros wleidyddiaeth, roeddwn i yng nghanol rhai o newyddiadurwyr a gwleidyddion y dyfodol."
