It’s a season of celebrations at the British Heart Foundation’s store in Chepstow with the Charity celebrating its 60th birthday this summer.
Store Manager Sue said it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate the 60th birthday and the shops reopening after such a difficult period for the charity during lockdown.
Sue said: “I am so proud of the shop and most importantly of the volunteers. The shop opened on the high street about 10 years ago. And some volunteers have been here since then. Their dedication and hard work have pushed the store from strength to strength and I’m so grateful for everything that they do.”
Regional Member of the Senedd Natasha Asghar joined Sue and the team of staff and volunteers to celebrate the BHF’s big birthday.
Natasha said: “It was a pleasure to visit the British Heart Foundation shop in Chepstow to help celebrate the charity’s 60th birthday.”
“Charity shops such as this play a vital role in funding life saving research by the BHF into heart and circulatory diseases and in finding better ways of diagnosing , treating and curing sufferers.”
“I was very impressed by the efficiency of the Chepstow operation and I have nothing but praise and respect for the store manager, Sue Johnston, and her team, most of whom give their time voluntarily.”
“Happy Birthday BHF and best wishes for the future.”
Sue added: “I’m so happy Natasha came to celebrate with us at the store. Together we can raise awareness of how a volunteering role is an intrinsic part in helping to beat heartbreak forever.”
Asghar yn ymuno â Siop Elusen Cas-gwent i Ddathlu Pen-blwydd Sefydliad Prydeinig y Galon yn 60 oed
Mae'n dymor o ddathliadau yn siop Sefydliad Prydeinig y Galon (BHF) yng Nghas-gwent gan fod yr Elusen yn dathlu ei phen-blwydd yn 60 oed yr haf hwn.
Dywedodd Sue, Rheolwr y siop mai gwych o beth oedd cael dathlu'r 60fed pen-blwydd a'r ffaith bod y siopau'n ailagor ar ôl cyfnod mor anodd i'r elusen yn ystod y cyfnod clo.
Meddai Sue: “Rwyf mor falch o'r siop ac yn bwysicaf oll y gwirfoddolwyr. Agorodd y siop ar y stryd fawr tua 10 mlynedd yn ôl. Ac mae rhai gwirfoddolwyr wedi bod yma ers hynny. Mae eu hymroddiad a'u gwaith caled wedi gyrru’r siop yn ei blaen ac rwy’n ddiolchgar dros ben am bopeth y maen nhw'n ei wneud.”
Ymunodd Natasha Ashgar, Aelod Rhanbarthol y Senedd a'r tîm o staff a gwirfoddolwyr i ddathlu pen-blwydd arbennig BHF.
Dywedodd Natasha: “Roedd yn bleser ymweld â siop BHF yng Nghas-gwent i helpu i ddathlu pen-blwydd yr elusen yn 60 oed.”
“Mae siopau elusennol fel hyn yn gwneud cyfraniad pwysig at ariannu gwaith ymchwil BHF i glefydau'r galon a chylchrediad y gwaed a chanfod ffyrdd gwell o wneud diagnosis, trin a gwella dioddefwyr ac achub bywydau.”
"Roedd effeithlonrwydd y gwaith sy'n cael ei wneud yng Nghas-gwent wedi creu argraff fawr arnaf. Does gen i ddim byd ond canmoliaeth a pharch at Sue Johnston, rheolwr y siop, a'i thîm, y rhan fwyaf ohonyn nhw'n rhoi o'u hamser yn wirfoddol.”
“Pen-blwydd Hapus i Sefydliad Prydeinig y Galon a dymuniadau gorau i'r dyfodol.”
Ychwanegodd Sue: “Rydw i mor hapus bod Natasha wedi dod i ddathlu gyda ni yn y siop. Gyda'n gilydd gallwn godi ymwybyddiaeth o'r ffordd y mae gwaith gwirfoddol yn rhan hanfodol o helpu i adfer tor-calon am byth.”
