A company using artificial intelligence and cloud-based technology to deliver remote healthcare and support within communities has been praised by Natasha Asghar MS.
Signum Health, based in Caerphilly, has the core aim of giving people rapid access to healthcare and has developed products to streamline processes.
The company has already used its technology to cut waiting times in England having cleared a dermatology backlog in Swindon within six months.
Signum’s product enables patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, GPs, and other alternative health services to connect directly and share information.
It means patients would be able to connect with local community providers who offer services without having to secure a GP appointment.
If a patient needs a referral, they will be able to log on to Signum Health and arrange an appointment rather than waiting for a GP to see them.
Natasha Asghar, Member of the Welsh Parliament for South East Wales, recently met with Signum Health’s CEO Victoria Norman at the company’s headquarters.
Victoria talked at length about her work and the pair discussed how it can play a crucial role in improving healthcare for people across South East Wales.
Speaking after the visit, Natasha Asghar MS said:
“To say I was blown away by Victoria and her company would be an understatement. Signum Health has the potential to make a real difference to patients and healthcare professionals.
“A lot of patients do not necessarily need to see a GP, so Signum Health can step in and give the patients a referral – which will ultimately reduce the burden on practices.
“I am determined to see Signum Health thrive and will continue to work with the company in any way I can because this can really help my constituents in South East Wales.”
